NIHR ARC-GM provides Research Internships as a way of supporting the development of research culture and capacity in under-represented groups and settings.
Research Internships are useful entry-level opportunities for those from a variety of backgrounds to explore applied health and care research. They are designed to be flexible to suit each intern's needs, whilst also including elements of structured training and the opportunity to contribute to research activity.
NIHR ARC-GM is particularly interested in supporting professional backgrounds where there is a greater need for research infrastructure, including those from the Allied Health Professions, Social Care and Public Health. Opportunities for students and members of the public have also been supported.
Applications for internships are encouraged from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender, gender expression, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status, and all awards are made on merit.
More information about all of the Research Internship Programmes that NIHR ARC-GM offers, and information on what our current, and previous, interns have been up to, can be found via the menu on this page.
