Call for bids for Research Capability Funding

The GM CLAHRC is pleased to announce that it has now received its allocation of Research Capability Funding (RCF) (previously known as Flexibility & Sustainability Funding - FSF) from the National Institute for Health Research for the 2012/13.

We are calling for bids for round nine of this funding. All bids must align with the CLAHRC’s objectives.

Applications are invited from researchers and staff working in Greater Manchester to support people with vascular disease. We are particularly interested in receiving applications related to the primary prevention of vascular disease. We will accept funding bids from Universities and Academic Organisations, the NHS and Healthcare Organisations and the Voluntary Sector.

Please note that projects must be no longer than one year from start to end and must commence before 1 September 2012. Funding is designed to aim to lead to further work through a larger funding opportunity and is non-recurrent.

As part of this round of bids, funding of up to £70k per application will be available and the deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, 1 June 2012. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the review of their application by Friday, 15 June 2012.

If you have any queries, please call (0161) 206 7919.

Please note that applications from academics based at the University of Manchester must ensure that completed MAHSC costing forms are submitted to the appropriate Research Business Manager within their School by Friday, 18 May 2012 at the latest.
