Perspectives of people affected by cancer: Focus group participants needed

As part of our work with Macmillan Cancer Support to improve the cancer-specific knowledge, awareness and skills of Manchester’s healthcare professionals, CLAHRC Greater Manchester is holding a focus group to gather information from people directly affected by cancer. We want to know what people directly affected by cancer believe to be the most important aspects of improving cancer care in the community. The opinions and views of focus group participants will help to inform and shape the future of cancer care in the region.

If you are a patient who has had a cancer diagnosis within the last five years, or you are a close family member of somebody who has had a diagnosis, and you live in Manchester, we want to hear from you.

The focus group will be held at a Manchester City Centre venue on Monday 16 June 2014. The focus group will run from 12.00 noon until 2.30pm and will begin with lunch. Expenses will be paid.

For more information or to register as a participant please contact Catherine Perry on 0161 275 7251 or via catherine.perry@mbs.ac.uk, or Anne Marie Sowerbutts on 0161 306 7888 or via annemarie.sowerbutts@manchester.ac.uk.
