Opportunity: Academic Career Development Lead Position at NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our team as our Academic Career Development Lead. The role of the Academic Career Development Lead is crucial to the success of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester (ARC-GM), to drive the delivery of our Academic Career Development (ACD) strategy.

 

Our ACD strategy aims to provide opportunities to train current and future researchers and support the development of wider research competence in the Greater Manchester health and social care workforce.

 

We do this via our four strategic priorities:

 

  1. Providing responsive events and resources to address learning needs for applied health and care research.
  2. Promoting research career opportunities and supporting the development and retention of early career researchers working in ARC-GM.
  3. Building capacity and capability in applied health and social care research, evaluation and implementation science for staff in the health and social care system who need to use research and guide future research priorities.
  4. Promoting equality, diversity and Inclusion in ARC-GM capacity-building activity

 

This position is available to colleagues employed across ARC-GM partner organisations, with allocated funding up to 0.2 FTE, the post is open until March 31, 2026.
